I wasn't totally thrilled with this stroller. The sunshade only covers kids when the sun is directly overhead, my two-year-old's head already sticks up over the seat back, and the frame doesn't feel too solid. But it was fine; I only used it for walking.
However, the first time I took it in the car, I had to take the front wheel off. As I was pulling the frame out of the car, I dropped it and snapped off one of the plastic pieces that holds the wheel on. I just called the manufacturer, figuring it is an easy part to replace. No, it isn't. The part is considered part of the frame and is irreplaceable. So I am now out $250 and have a stroller that can't be used.

After watching some videos on youtube, hearing friends praising it, being exhausted by travelling with a baby and a toddler, I decided to go ahead and buy a phil and ted. I have now tried it irl with both kids in it and I'm so very happy with it and feel it was worth the money spent. I can't say much bad about it really but the one issue that bothered me and the only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars was that they don't make a sunshade for the extra rear seat only. As my toddler would not want to be covered by the double sun cover and that would be the only way to cover baby in the back, there's a big need for a solution for covering just baby in the back. I have however ordered the protect-a-bub sun shade (not phil and ted brand) that had excellent reviews and made with phil and teds in mind so I'm hoping that will work well. I'm sure there will be a phil and ted cover like that avaliable in the future as I've read many reviews with this particular concern. Other than that it really is great and folds up quite compact with the extra seat that comes of in a secon not taking up more room than an extra sweater in the trunk. Really recommend this! The Baby Jogger is by far the best jogging stroller made. I looked at them all before deciding to purchase this one. My only hang up was that Baby Jogger is a bit larger than the rest of them, and will not fit through a lot of house doors. I decided that I would rather fold it, or leave it under the patio cover rather than buy a different stroller that would fit through the doors. We are very happy with our decision. It rides like a dream. We have a 3 month old and a 2 year old, both seem to love it. We roll a towel and bend it around the head of the 3 month old to keep her head steady. It does lean back further than I thought it would though.

I received this as a gift when I was pregnant with my 2nd. I have a 2 year old and an infant now. I have to agree with the other review - it can be very difficult to set this stroller up. It is heavy and you have to have a system in place to get it in and out of the car. I have to line it up parallel with my minivan trunk and then lift it up and put it in the same parallel position. It can be very difficult to manuever once you have lifted it into the trunk. It just barely fits sideways in my trunk. Same story here with getting my infant into the rear seat. You have to always recline the back seat first which was tricky at first but now I am used to it. Then you have to tip the infant seat in a weird way to get it to lock into the seat. The front wheels lock in a straight position each time and the back brake goes on each time you fold it up. I'm used to all those weird features now.

BROKEN HANDLES - we just flew to FL last week and the stroller didn't make it through the gate check in process without breaking. BOTH handles broke off completely when they gave me my stroller back at the gate. I'm about to start my research on how I get replacement handles - I'll be sure to edit my review based on what I hear back from Graco.

Very hard to fold and unfold, very heavy and unwieldy, and doesn't get that much smaller folded. When folded, it is very precarious and can tip over. Since I have nowhere to put it and must keep it in my living room, I leave it unfolded with the brake on because at least it can't fall on them. Straps are HORRIBLE. They are at least a foot too long, take a long time to disassemble and adjust, and keep slipping to be too big. I have never had so much trouble with straps in any baby product. I read soooooo many reviews on this stroller before I purchased it and was skeptical to say the least but for the price, it has been one of the BEST purchases for getting around with my two girls. It came fully assembled which was great, the tires were a little deflated but my husband has a compressor so it's been very easy for us to add air whenever necessary which is ever 3-4 trips.
I do have a bit of a stroller obsession. I have a GRACO tandem for every day running around and traveling. I have a double umbrella for lightweight carrying and subways, trains, etc. I use the jogging stoller for walking to the park, supermarket, anywhere around town and ESPECIALLY the beach. It rolls over the sand much easier than my other stollers. The huge sunshade is FANTASTIC, my husband thought I was nuts bringing it to Sesame Place but it was the best thing I did. I can't carry the kids when they get tired.
Overall, it depends on your individual needs. It is heavy and cumbersome, it's not for everyday but it washes easily, dries quickly, I don't have to take it apart like my other strollers and reassemble which is always a chore.

We bought this stroller for our 2 year old and newborn. The compact design is great for steering in tight store aisles and it folds up compactly to fit in most cars. The 3-wheels makes the stroller easier to push too. The stroller could have been AMAZING if the designers had made a few adjustments. For one it should have been made for a taller toddler so my average-height son was already too tall for the sunshade when we got the stroller and his legs could dangle down to the ground and bump the front wheel. The swivel-wheel locking mechanism constantly became stuck in locked-mode making it impossible to steer. I eventually permanently super-glued it into swivel mode. The infant seat is too short and open. The only thing holding the baby in is the strap otherwise they can literally fall through to the bottom basket! It's not great for newborns to lie down comfortable unless you add an insert of some kind.

I got this stroller from a friend, brand new. I took it on a test drive to Disney land for 6 hours. After one day, a wheel is bent, and my arm is totally killing. I have larger kids--42lbs and 28lbs. There is no way this stroller could hold the maximum pounds. I was counting on this because my younger child has special needs and will be in it for a while. The manouverability is rediculous. The parent cup holder is not in a workable spot if you put your diaper bag on the handlebar. Folding it is very difficult unless you're a houdini. I think that's how my wheel got bent. What stroller damages itself when folding? This one! The storage is inaccessable, um need I go on? OK. I will. In the middle of the night I woke up with the most excrutiating pain in my arm.

I have four children, 4 and 6 year old boys and I have twin girls that are now 1 year old. I purchased this stroller when they were about 9 months. I absolutely LOVE it. It is easy to fold and unfold. It also is freestanding when in the folded position, no worry about it tipping over or anything. You can put a carseat in on one side. It comes with a strap that you attach to the stroller and it snaps around the carseat, just as in any other stroller that the carseat "snaps" into. If you're in a pinch, you could fit two carseats in there, but be sure to have two straps - of course I'm sure this is NOT reccommended by the manufacturer. But just thought I would put that in there. The canopies by far are the coolest feature. They come all the way down to the bar and have a "viewing window" for the children so they can see where they are going. If it's hot, you can unzip the last zipper and it unfolds the netting in the back so air can flow through, but still keep the sun out of the kids' eyes. We used the boot (that came with it) all winter long and it kept my girls cozy for those trips in and out in the cold weather. I also have two sons in two different schools. Therefore, I used this thing a minimum of 8 times a day. If I can do it without complaining, this stroller makes my job that much easier! It steers great and fits through STANDARD doorways. I do nudge the cupholder here and there through doors, but it's worth it. I had the long double stroller frame for their carseats, but I believe the girls LOVE the way they can sit next to each other and see each other better. The only disadvantage is shopping with it in small stores. Not that it doesn't travel well, however, in department stores and clothing shops while trying to navigate in between displays, it can be a bit cumbersome. I bought this for our twin boys, aged 14 months. We own two other strollers, one side-by side from Peg Perego, another graco metro, front-back style. For many functions this one is superior.

Advantages: Easy to turn, easy to push, feels very light, good to run with. Turns on a dime compared with other models I have used. Both boys get to see the scenery (I think the ones with the back seat as an afterthought for the younger kid are really unfair). Good storage underneath the stroller.

Disadvantages: Hard to get through some store doors. After running for 3 days in a row with this I developed carpal tunnel syndrome, the stroller materials do give good directions for avoiding this though they didn't work for me so I no longer run with it. Never used the stroller strides package...nor has my wife. Fairly difficult to fold up...not so much in terms of the actual folding, but the storage is awkward...doesn't fit easily in the back of my Honda CRV...it fits, but manipulating it to get the front tire in is difficult. Side wheels do pop off easily.

Overall I think this model is excellent and hard to beat in terms of the competition. For day to day errands etc. I think it's a bit too big to be functional, and I didn't have much luck running with it but I think walking with for exercise it is fantastic.
